Well isn't this a nice welcome :)

I wasn't going for a high gloss finish but I still would have liked it a bit shinier. Definitely some way to go. I really didn't know how to finish the acrylic and couldn't wait to get away from that good awful smell. I'll look into auto-glym and t cut, maybe find some locally available alternatives.. uncle google is a good friend.

I've got a bit of time over the holidays so I'll probably have a couple of new ones to show soon

Welcome to the forum Paul. Naught wrong with that pen at all its a very nicely turned and finished item. :thumbs:

When finishing acrylic I use 600 wet and dry and then 1200 and then 2000 wet and dry... finally a polish with any car polish will do or very light cutting paste.
