A quick update guys.
I received an e mail this morning from Mark Baker. (The Editor of the GMC publications Wood turning, and Woodcarving magazine, among others!)
I don't know what it is yet? But he will provide a piece of his own work to auction!
Onward and upward!

Itinerary-ish!

Non of this is set in stone, and all timings are approx.
Officially, we have the premises from 10am until 4pm, so I have had to arrange the day around these hours.
Depending on what else is on, on the day, we may have a little leeway.
Official start is 10am, but I will be there from 8.15am approx, and can arrange to get you in beforehand, if you let me know nearer the time.

Tea, coffee, and water will be available throughout the day.
10 - 10.30 arrive, teas, intros etc.
10.30-1145 Walters' demo.
11.45- 12.15 CNC demo.
12.15 - 1.00pm Lunch, sales, mingling.
1.00 - 2.15pm Philips demo.
2.15 onwards, Auction, sales, Laser cutting, whatever, thank you(s).
I'm trying to make the day as loose as possible, and you will be able to wander around the school if you wear your pass.
Basically, the day is yours to do and see what you wish!
The site staff have been told that if they see any odd behaviour by anybody wearing a pass, to escort them back to me.

Err.. I did say that from the start... didn't I?

The Laser cutter and CNC centre lathe will definitely be running.
I'm working on getting the Boxford 2 axis A3 Router running, and possibly the Denford 3 axis Router / Miller.
Time is short, and I am at the mercy of the IT Dept, who normally take everything offline in August.

Err, Bump, Init! as Grump might say!:whistling:
We are only a few weeks away, and things are finally coming together.
The food will be of the highest quality, served on "real Plates", as my better half decrees!
My less hirsute elder brother will be up from Devon, he is a veteran from the conflicts of the seventies to the last invasion of Iraq.
Any discussion of bullet pens are at your own risk!:whistling::funny:

Seriously, I hope we all have a good day
Many thanks to Paulm for the Auction site, to all of you for your donations, especially Woody, for your vast array of turned work (there are some bashful bidders waiting for the day), and the demonstrators who are giving their time, and expertise, free of charge!
I'll sign off now, and embarrass a lot of people later! You know who you are:bwink:
Best regards,
Neil.

I third it.

Maybe you should wear your "rubbers" to impress any ladies present:wink: (wet suit that is:whistling:)

Is that what it takes to impress the ladies? All these years and I never knew that.
We had a dress down day at Fujitsu when I worked there, I was told I could wear whatever I wanted to.
They weren't impressed when I turned up in snorkel, mankini and flippers.
