I have been asked to make a Fountain Pen using Irish Bog Oak for a Christmas present. Hope they like it. Glen

Two pens in bog oak with different Chestnut finishes. The one at the top is a chrome PSI bolt action finished with Spray Acrylic Satin lacquer, the one at the bottom is a chrome Beaufort Sirocco finished on the lathe with melamine lacquer applied by hand.

My first of this kit and i already love it. This and the Mistral are easily my favourite 2 fountain pen kits. I stopped using a Ca finish on my Bog Oak a long time ago. Now i sand it, use sealer, sand it back then rub with denatured alcohol and a dark bees wax. Leaves a beautiful natural finish...

Bog Oak on a Sedona

Not posted for a while, been a bit to busy to turn anywhere near as much as I need to. Tried a Kappa with some Bog Oak, I like the look a little bit of bling but not to much. Finished with Melamine.

Brad kindly sent me some pen blanks and among them was a bit of stabilized 6,000 year old Bog Oak from the Fens this will be sold as a fundraser for P4H enjoy
