Made this Yew 18” platter for a friend

This Omega is a gift for a Church friend, hence the fish, which got a wee bit lopsided.

A friend gave me some Apple, never turned it before, a real joy to turn though and my friend tells me there is plenty more :winking: A mushroom, a few tool marks but it's my 1st attempt at one.

Acquired a ready glued segmented blank earlier in the year and only just got round to giving it a go. First go at one of these "squarey bowly thingys", I would be lying if I didn't say there were more than a few "erse clenching" moments while doing the wings, and the less said about the end...
