I turned this pink resin (for the Mrs) pen yesterday - the first resin blank I have tried. Turned ok, but transparent in places down to the brass. Are they all like this - the light coloured resin blanks ?

This cartridge is 31/2 inches long designed for maximum collateral. The ink mech is screwed into a receiving thread in the shell. Quite light it writes easily and pleasant to hold. Peter.:thumbs:

Hi all, This is made from stabilised Olive wood and has CA finish. I enjoyed making this one. Unfortunately, the stabilisation process darkened the wood quite a bit. This time i placed more light on it when i took the picture in hope that the definition of the grain would improve.

I have been looking around for a supplier of veneers, have seen iron on veneers etc but i am looking fot veneer strips or sheets without " glue" just wood where do you guys get your veneers, mainly looking for light wood as a contrast. Cheers Ray

Im having an issue with an ebonite section I turned- basically is has swelled / expanded and I suspect its from being left in my car in the heat? Can anyone shed any light in this? (It has expannded to the extent that the cap will not now go on.

Just finished this tea light holder. The wood is Ash and coloured with Jo Sonja's iridescent paint.

Well had a great day today I managed at least 2 hours before having to give up, No turning however as I am still working on the truck, made the clearance lights and the complete tail light board. It will soon be finished and I want to get and turn a pen or two.
