Finished at last. I did not keep a record of hours but have enjoyed the journey in making it, all I know is that there were a lot of parts.

    Day off of making sawdust

Well yesterday I took a day off of making sawdust and I can tell you it has knocked me for six, so much that today I am taking a day of rest from the shed as I would not be happy playing with power tools. And here is why I took yesterday off.

Kitless, Facets, and a Tired Old Pen Maker

Hello, all. I am just starting to make kitless pens, and I am regularly running into roadblocks. That's good. It is requiring a lot more planning and thinking -the very things I am looking for in my pen-making. Two problems: First, I am looking for some good tips on making pen clips. I'll...

    Wheelie's

After a week of making a jig I have now completed the front wheels for the half track I am working on. As I enjoy making wooden toys/models it will not go to waste. A quick pic of the jig and then the wheels followed by one of them dry fitted to the chassis, I lost count of the number of parts...

    New Pens

I have been dabbling making pens from this (sorry, I don't know how to rotate the image, it is OK on my computer!) ... to these ... via this ... The lighter coloured wood is from the spindles between the legs, the darker wood is from the seat which I believe is African Mahogany.

    A little advice please

If I want to make a box like this one, what would be the best and easiest way of making the shaped pieces top an bottom? I'm thinking of making cat trees when I get my workshop back :thinks:

Another ergonomic oblique dip pen holder

I made this one a little while ago, but had left it unfinished. I finally got around to sanding (done by hand, so my least favourite part of making - hence why it had been left a while) and polishing it last night. Hand cast polyurethane resin.

    Alluminite Blanks

Hi all...really hoping someone may be able to help... I'm after making some pens for a few firefighters who will be retiring in a few months. I had the idea of the thin red line pen and was pleasantly surprised to see an American guy who already does this...making his own alluminite blanks too...

For The Ended Comp Ideas to pursue

For a Competition last year I used the magnetic cap system that is worth considering when making kitless. Lots of extra steps not needed to make this. Peter.

I love making new blanks and find lots of inspiration on YouTube. I have just glued up a denim blank made with offcuts of old...
