    What a load of garbage

Had a strange request for a little boy who loves garbage trucks so Monday I started this little project and completed about 1/2hour ago. It also doubles up as a money box. Many know that I enjoy making things like this. At least I can now get back to the Rob Roy loco.

Beall or not to Beall that is the question

Ever since I started this woodturning malarkey one thing that I have learnt is to always get the best you can afford. But what happens when I cannot for the life of me see what the difference is between 2 items? I have never been one to back away from a sale, due to cost, if I have the money...

    Kitless twig.

As Ash has been blowing everyone away with his amazing kitless turnings I thought I would try and give him a run for his money with my kitless twig. This kit does not have a cap, so it could get messy.:funny:

Two blokes are standing looking at the flowers for sale in a flower shop trying to choose the perfect gift for their wives. One said to the other – it’s a shame we have to spend so much money when they are just going to die. The other one said – yes the flowers will as well.

    Looking for a pen Blank

Hi I haven't posted in a while but I have been keeping busy. I had a spat were I sold quite a bit of stuff then it died a death. It got to the point where it was actually costing me money to make pens. People just did not want to pay the money for them. So I stopped making pens. Any way Xmas is...

    G(one) W(ith) R(egret) Hall Class Loco 3 1/2" Gauge

Hi, Someone asked me to post a few pics of my models/clocks so here's a couple of this loco, it's a scale model of a GWR Hall Class engine. It weighs close onto a cwt (in old money!) and is currently hanging on the wall of my lounge so as you can imagine the brackets are quite robust.

    Topical

*THE HAIRCUT* Blessed are those that can give without remembering, and take without forgetting. One day a florist went to a barber for a haircut. After the cut, he asked about his bill, and the barber replied, 'I cannot accept money from you, I'm doing community service this week.' The...

The Deaf Italian Bookkeeper A Mafia Godfather finds out that his bookkeeper, Guido, has cheated him out of $10,000,000.00 His bookkeeper is deaf. That was the reason he got the job in the first place. It was assumed that Guido would hear nothing so he would not have to testify in court...

    Oak bowls

My first attempts at bowl turning. As I noted on another thread, the oak came from the restoration of our local pub. I have never really got round to trying to turn a bowl before so here are my first attempts. Not sure oak is the wisest timber to try as a first attempt but it seems to have...

    Simples!

Haven't bothered with fairs for years, but I've been asked to do a "Gifts for Christmas" fair in early November. Realised I didn't have any pocket money stuff so spent literally minutes on these!

    Tru Oil

I've heard that Birchwood Cassey Tru Oil is good stuff but the cost of even a small bottle is silly money. After a quick search I found this recipe, anyone tried it? Mike's Oud Forums - Powered by XMB

Hi, I am totally new to turning & after going to a few wood turning demos, decided to buy a lathe...SIP01936 model. I know it is probably not the best spec...but for the money a cautious buy for the moment. Anyway, just thought I would leave a note to say Hi ? Mark
