ring

Does anyone on here turn rings? I'm thinking of adding them to my repertoire, but being a cheapskate wondering if there are other ways than having to buy a ring mandrel & ring boring head

but you gotta try these things, havent you.. slimline twist with a captive ring...yes, im aware the ring will last all of 10 seconds in your pocket, but ive not tried one on a pen..and now i have i will try a smaller one at some point ( had to make the tool so may as well use it :up: ) no clue...

Can anyone point me in the right direction on where to buy a quality metal keyring ring so that i can make three personalised wooden keyrings. I have found plenty out there but the quality is not good enough to supply with the three pens that I am making. Many thanks.

I have been watching some youtube videos on ring turning. I can not find any sites anywhere:thumbs: that sells mandrells ring cores etc. Any one doing this can you point me in the right direction to get the kit necessary to have a go. :thumbs:

Not done much in the way of turning lately. This is a piece that I started at the beginning of the week but went wrong a couple of times and had to repaint it. The main pod is Ash and the ring stand is cherry. The wife thought I was making a lemon well with all the problems I felt like one.
