    What a shame

Well had a tree surgeon in today to take down a conifer tree which we let get to big. I measured it at the cut and it is 37inches diameter but being a very soft wood not much use to turners. Snowdrop tree

A simple little bowl in a wood that was most pleasing to turn. The bowl is 4" x 2 1/4" and is made from the wood of the Snowdrop tree, (Halesia sp. ,possibly H. dipteria.) It was standing dead for a year but only felled yesterday.
