That’s a coincidence, I have the Record SC3 and the Axminster SK100. Very different chucks but I like them both.

Hi William
Mostly I keep the G3 on my little jet lathe although I have an adapter to fit the Axi 1416 as well so for convenience my drilling is done on the jet.

When I bought the Axi lathe I had planned to sell the jet bot was advised by several forum members to hold on to it, one of the best bits of advice I've ever received although not everyone can justify or have the space to accommodate 2 lathes.

The recommended drill sizes for a lot of pen kits can be iffy I found recently you could drive a horse and cart in between the brass and timber. Getting to where I check and adjust all the way with calipers.

Peter.
