I was making a pen today and i swap from a left hand hold on the chisel to a right hand hold without much trouble, in fact it feels a little more comfortable that holding it left handed.
It made me think though, i am going to have a go at bowl making. Turning the base of the bowl will be ok but doing the inside might be a bit awkward.

Is there any lefties here to give me some hints.

I have reverse on one lathe and used to regularly switch from right to left, I didn't really notice any difference and as an added bonus I get to use the bowl gouge from both sides and have less sharpening to do, always a bonus.

I'm right handed but was dragged up in a family of lefties so I can do most things with both no bother

I'm left handed but I use r/h or l/h. I also do what Peter said, reverse the rotation. I have a swivel head on the lathe so I can swing it round if I need to.
