The statistics so far are:

7 of you Abrade the tube before gluing.

4 of you don't abrade the tube before gluing.

Any more votes? :whistling: :funny:

I haven't counted who use Epoxy versus Polyurethane - someone else can work that out ... :funny:

Why don't you just buy some kits and try making a couple of pens and let us know how you got on with them.

I sometimes abrade my tubes - put them between centres on the lathe, spin it up and touch it with some abranet or whatever is handy. Don't even have to turn the lathe off when changing tube, just back out the tailstock, catch the tube, hold the new one in place and tighten gently! :whistling:

Must say I started a good response from you all. Any ideas, without buying expensive blast gates on how easiest to move four inch corrugated flexible tubing from one machine to another, band saw and two lathes. I have enough tubing. I was going to slit, remove a sliver and re glue some four inch waste pipe to fit inside other pieces of same??
