An awesome pen and great timber. Out of interest Peter did you use a Sanding disk , milling machine or finish by hand ??
Either way a stunning pen ,

I finished by hand I missed near two faces on the ends using the large Dremel made tool that gives concentric movement as a sander holding the facets on it by hand.

Sorry but the pics from here were much lighter and detailed than they came up on the forum.

The rest of the process which is lengthy I keep out of circulation as it is dangerous and time consuming.

Peter,

Is that a "normal" piece of hairy oak, or is that an exceptional blank? I am not familiar with it. Beautiful pen though, a real head turner.
