Frankie, that is absolutely fantastic, you're missing your calling mate. One thing that puts most people off vacuum chucks is the cost, complexity and in this country, lack of availability but you have just single handedly changed that I feel. Thanks for devising and demonstrating something that will definitely be adopted in my man cave.

This is a fantastic idea I would love to have a go at making one but similar to Ray I just can't visualise some of it.

If ever you get a chance a breakdown of the build from start to finish would be great for a numpty like me.

Ray the bearing is glued in so i cant get access to it its just a forstner bit drill down to the depth then drill a through hole the same size as the head stock bore.

I got the bearing from an old grinder but you can buy them on ebay
and that is glued in to the wood.
