Hi Guys,

As we all know, Phil from Beaufort Ink has produced a set of four Mistral pen kits. A fountain pen, roller ball pen, ball point and pencil.
Below is my turned set of these pens, all made with Thuya Burl wood. Finished in shellac, two coats, CA glue six coats, sanded to 1200 grade paper and polished with T-cut.

We all know that the quality of these kits are brilliant and the ball point and new pencil is no exception.

I have the new Tempest to turn next, so watch this space!

Kelvin

Well Kelvin there is a nice set of writing instruments..

Fit is superb, also you have managed to get the satin finish to them rather than the high gloss associated with CA finish

Very nice.

Kelvin compliments on your slim styling, excellent timber choices and superb finishing. Among the best of Thuya I have seen.

Peter.

Thanks for all your comments on the pens. I think Phil will be pleased too.

Phil is delighted!
What an excellent set Kelvin, and I especially like the piccie of the pencil on the draftsman drawing. You and Christine are both very creative. Thanks so much for all the photos you sent me too.
