Never held one of been close to one. Been to many shows but not that close. They have always fascinated me, even when I read the book of Barry Hind, Kes.. truly great, The film was never as good though..

I used to know a gamekeeper who was involved in something similar, spent a lot of time watching.

He had a massive American Eagle Owl which simply mesmerised me.

Very new to me I have only heard of the Royal Mews in the past. Watched many documentaries covering the keeping traditions, disciplines of Falconry, hunting Birds of prey.
They seem pretty solitary, require rather intensive bonding etc.
