    Elm Burr again

Hi all Another Burr Elm but this time I tried to lighten the wood slightly so the figure better. The wallet is empty though except for the bus pass. I am going to try some Burr Oak next week, see how that comes out. Burr is very appropriate as it's freezing in the workshop. Cheers etc, Frederick

This is a gunmetal Omega kit, with stabilized Elm. My first Omega. I really love this kit. Sanded to 1000 grit, two coats of sanding sealer, four of Melamine, Carnuba topcoat. Great kit and it's a lovely pen to write with. Writes better, for me at least, without the cap screwed to the back...

    Slimline pen

This is a slimline for a friend who is leaving BV Llandudno to be near his family. It is made from a piece of timber he donated to the workshop. We're not sure of the timber, thought it might be elm but it's also like some cherry I have. It's finished in melamine & micro polish.
