My personal opinion with bullet pens is to have real projectile for the nib and I would ditch the centre band.:thinks:

all opinions are welcome...i will try a real bullet when i can drill one straight, not got the correct vice for the drill press yet and my lathe is bog useless...i made another centre band for it and it looks much better, i felt it looked stumpy without it

Les, who has disappeared in to cyberspace, posted a tutorial on making cartridge pens he used a drill chuck for drilling projectiles. Personally I prefer collet chucks.
