So I took Neil's advice (first time for everything :tongue:) and ordered a Howie lab coat

then took it for a test drive, and made a lovely pen with it.

Those lab coats look great. Search here and cannot find anything similar.
Buying from overseas is not a viable option here. Will look some more.

Interesting idea Neil, let us know how it works out long term.

William, pleased to report wife #2 seems to be bearing up under the strain. The coat is a great fit as well. Good combination of medium duty cloth, warmth and it’s very comfy. Great buy, really happy with it.
