I've booked Half term off, so I won't be back at the School until Monday 2nd of June.
I'll Pm people to let them know when I have received payment.
If it is ok with every one, I won't post the passes, but write your forum name on the back, and you can pick it up on the door?
This will save a lot of money on postage. If any one wants it posting, please let me know.
The maximum amount of people allowed is 30. This includes the demonstrators, myself and any other helpers, so please confirm ASAP, if you are definitely coming. The capacity has been set by the size of the room that the turning demonstrations will be in, and (God forbid) my own legal liability, if something untoward happens! (eg Grump turning up! Cowboy bringing loaded guns!, Ed's attire! Etc :funny::funny:)

This is starting to get scary .. Neil, has this been done before? Is there a law allowing this? Do all the neighbours know it is going to happen? Have the Police been given notice? Have you kept it under wraps from the local press? :devil:

York has not been invaded since since November 1 866 when the Vikings led by Halfdan and Ivar the Boneless captured the city ...

If the news got out that there is a an invasion of Pen Turners being plotted at this very minute there could be a lot of arrests of the leading oraganisers .. :whistling:

If we can keep this under the radar i can see it been a great day of socialising my friend, along with support given to a great course .. :thumbs:

I have, however, contacted every club in Yorkshire! East Riding and West Yorkshire have been in touch, and will announce at their next meetings, and feature the event on their websites.
Haven't heard a dicky bird from the very local groups, and think they may be thinking I'm "standing on their toes".
I'll push it more when ticket sales slow down a little.
Including the Institute members coming, I have 11 cheques, or promises to pay, one way or another, on my list. The scary thing is I haven't got you on the payment list yet! Are you coming!:funny:

I've also got some interest from some normal people (Non Turners), but I'm holding them back until the turners have had their chance.

The site supervisors have been told that if they see any one behaving suspiciously, on the day, assume they are a pen turner, and return them to the DT Dept!

I'll be making it more public in the near future.

Didn't have Keith, but can do!
The 11 I mentioned are the ones who have either stated that the cheque is in the post, or contacted me to make other payment arrangements.
If you want to pay on the day you can do, but please let me know, so I can put you down as definitely coming.
If every body comes, we are up to 20 / 21 attendees, including demonstrators, sales, volunteers.
If I have to miss the demo's myself, to squeeze another paying ticket in, I will do.
