    My attempts from today

Thought I would show off some of my amateurish work. The resin blanks I made myself, the red one had an air hole appear when I turned it down, so I cut the blank back on the tube and added an African Blackwood slice and turned it back down. Maybe not ideal but I guess it sort of salvaged a pen...

    Moving on from slimline

Evening all I have been making two part slimline pens but having seen some of the things you guys are turning out I want to start making thicker pens if you know what I mean. Also, instead of turning a pen in two parts with a ring in the middle I want to have just a single piece to fashion into...

The Curse of Garno Lives on

I am sure I am not the first and am equally sure I wont be the last that this happens to. I have a number of Streamline kits and a few Slimline kits to turn, I have 10 blanks prepared that just need turning. I sorted all of the kits out and had 3 Slimline and 10 Streamline, I turned the...

    That old chestnut

I decided to spend a few hours out of bed today and prepare some blanks for future use, I usually do them as and when they are required and only do 1 at a time. Just never occurred to me to do them in batches. Whilst searching through my kits I noticed I had a ton of kits that I have marked up...

    not been up to much

its been too cold in my flimsy, not heated tin shed, plus storm eunice thought it would be a laugh to remove half the roof and turn the interior into a paddling pool..still, no damage to machinery, roof has been repaired better than it was before, the weather is warming up and my resin casting...

    Slimline

Anyone know what the minimum dimensions of a blank should be to enable it to turn fully a 7mm Slimline pen? I have some 13mm x 13mm and the hole drilled seems awfully close to the edge. On that size can it only be used for 7mm pens? Also what should the minimum dimensions be for an 8mm pen...
