    Blue-Dyed Tempest

Another driftwood pen with blue dye. There were a couple of inclusions which I filled with aluminium, and the finished pen looks a bit like Earth from space :thinks: Used iPhone for photos and couldn't get a nice exposure

Producing a pen using a fisher bullet 'space' refill

Had a strange request, could I turn a pen from snakewood that could take a bullet pen refill, aka fisher space pen. Thinking snakewood was going to be a challenge to get, I see there is some in the UK but it's pretty pricey......no problem the client says. But how do I find a pen kit that...

    My latest Mistral

A Mistral turned using M3 Mokume, I find this a fascinating material with a lot of depth, and of course the metallic shimmer. I think the space age quality of M3 works well with the traditional quality of the Mistral. Haven't seen much of it on the forum recently!

Has anyone turned perspective rod? I would like to mock up a kitless in coloured translucent perspex (which I believe is basically acrylic) so I can clearly see how much wall thickness and space I have internally. Will this turn / thread well?

Hi all I am a very new wood turner based in Sussex... had my lathe for 7 weeks now and have just turned my first pens. The main thing I have found is that I needed to sort out my shed!!! Now acquired a bench grinder (handy for making things sharp!) and band saw and some gouges etc.... amazing...
