Do you have a favourite type of pen? and do you find certain pens look better (in your opinion) made from different substrates?
My overall favourites are fountain pens, those with a nice looking nib. I do like other types but I think those are hard to beat.
I also prefer wood pens to any other...

I picked up a cheap tester lathe to see if this is the hobby for me and my partner. However it has a 3/4 x 16 spindle not a morse taper. What type of mandrel will I need and can anyone point me in the direction of how to fit it?

Finaly back in the shop after so many weeks. Give a first try on these workshop pencil kits.
Had a few demands for this type of pencils so i started with 3 kits from penkits direct.
Do you know better. You can get parker type refills, parker type gel and parker type soft & smooth and yet for slimline just standard bog standard refills.

Hello, is there any pen kits for using on a tablet/phone. I am seeing these very big add on things that are very large and sits on the top of the pen sort of like an eraser. I am looking for more of the type used as a proper pen on Microsoft Surface pro types of tablets:
