I learnt something today,
I say learnt but I have actually gathered some info I did not have yesterday and the waters have become muddied as a result.

I learnt that there is actually more than 1 type of sanding sealer :iknow:

In addition to the shellac Sanding Sealer their is a cellulose one ......

What type should I be using if I am going to use CA as a finish and come to think of it what one for a melamine finish?

Acrylic sanding sealer is water based so it will raise the grain. Cellulose sanding sealer might need to be thinned a little with cellulose thinners. This one dries fast. Spirit based sanding sealer is shellac based and dries a lot slower than the cellulose sealer.
