Are they "all" going to be fountain pen kits?
Not done a fountain pen, seems it can get a bit technical.
I mean for the customer, wether their left or right handed as to what nib to fit, size etc.
Dave
The Zephyr is a fountain pen, and a rollerball. There's a ballpoint in the wings and another fountain pen in the pipeline, but they don't have names yet.
The nib thing is really easy to deal with though Dave. 95% of people will be happy to buy your finished pen with the nib it's supplied with, which is our own German made medium. It's a lovely nib. Once they own the pen, a good proportion of them might want to experiment with different nibs, but they're interchangeable, so it's easy, and of the other 5% will will want you to supply the pen with a different nib, but again, its easy - you just screw in the new nib in place of the supplied one.
A good proportion of my orders on a Monday morning are for size 5 nibs in kit compatible housings, from makers needing nibs after the weekend fairs. We try to get them out the same day, so they can fulfill their orders for pens with bespoke nibs. Most makers don't try to second guess their customers requirements - they're aware of the alternatives we can supply, and just use that knowledge to sell or take an order.
