Without checking Dave I think the place is Saskatchewan. we're staying 1 night at the hotel ( The Crossing) very close to the glacier before travelling on to Jasper so we'll have a trip on to it. They're amazing things to be close to, only been once before in new Zealand and will never forget it.

The one we did was the Columbia Ice Fields, at Mount Athabasca, I suspect you'll do the same one, not far from the Crossing resort. It really is amazing but quite dangerous, don't wander too far from the beaten track as there are crevices, fissures etc and the ice is over 1000 ft thick.
Whatever Bob, I'm sure you'll enjoy it and you're making me dead jealous!
