Use of a polish on acrylics?

I used Solvol Autosol on my first Acrylic Pen after 0000 wire wool and that looked fine. Almost any ultrafine abrasive should do the trick but there are many aimed specifically for use on plastics. I’m sure Halfords have a few if you have one local.
