    Wood ID

I got quite a few logs last week and have just finished cutting them to start the seasoning. All from the same site which has a large selection of specimen trees planted over the last couple of hundred years. This particular one was a single misshaped twisted log that I though could be Hawthorne...

    Logging in

I have been using my tablet/laptop one of those things that has a key board and can be separated into a tablet thingy. You get the drift hopefully. Cutting logs today

I decided to take the plunge and make a start with my electric chain saw on my log pile. Very happy with the results so far. Just can't stand the time it will take to finish drying. The Yew has been down for over 6 years but left as a log so will still take some time to dry. Hopefully it will...
