My first proper go at acrylic, quite nerve wracking to begin with but when I got to the last 2 or 3 micro meshes it just popped and was quite spectacular to be fair! :-)

I was watching a few clips on You Tube and see some people use soap and water when wet sanding with micro mesh. Does anyone else use soap ? Is there a benefit in using it ? What soap do you use ?

Here are todays efforts dark coloured blank from Pen Moulds and Blanks and the yellow blank from else where but I can't remember. Only difference with these after sanding with micro mesh to 12000 I applied a coat of Microcrystalline wax, then buffed with a soft cloth.

Managed to get in the shed again, happy with the result using a fancy slimline from penkitzandbitz. Tried wet and dry then micro mesh and though not perfect I think it's better than my first attempt.

Turned this earlier today. Used a friction polish followed by micro mesh. Ended up with a super smooth finish.

When I went to see Vic back in the spring, he mentioned the Robert Sorby Spindlemaster and I bought the micro version last week. Specially made for pen-making, it's only small, but so versatile. This week I've made a couple of Indian Rosewood Mistrals, including the accents using this new tool...

Hi all, Few weeks ago I posted a video and on the video I'd made a Micro Mesh Holder (see pic). Ive since been asked if I can make these to order. The answer is Yes...and No. I hadn't planned on doing, but quite happy too if there is interest. Since making the holder, Im finding it really...
