    Olive but not probably not that old.

    Since Peter posted an absolutely stunning Olive wood Pen I thought I would share these 3 which are all olive wood but not from the same place as Peters Olive. Haven't made any pens for some time but made a few recently, the first 2 of these are Olive root rather than the actual wood itself.

    hi all, found this piece laying on the floor when we were walking back from the beach..no idea what wood, but theres a good chance its olive { theres 4 million olive trees there ) sanded and finished with 8 coats of CA and polished.

    Hi all, Two of Phils Sirocco's dressed also in his Spanish Olive, I must say it turned very easy and quickly but I think that was due to Olive being quite oily/moist.... Not like the dry dusty stuff I have been turning of late.... Still, looks nice with good grain

    Hi All, These are 3 more Cypriot Olive blanks harvested 300+ years ago.... These were really dry, so they had a little soak in warm oil and left a couple of weeks. I don't know if it did any good, but it certainly hasn't hurt them and I do like the results
