Made these today whilst waiting for the lacquer to dry on a bowl we have a sierra and Zeta his n hers dressed in traditional his n hers colours

A Traditional Yuletide pen. Made using Locally sourced Welsh Oak and Holly segmented Celtic Cross . This represents the meeting of the Holly King & Oak King at Yuletide.

A wee while ago I got 2 beautiful cast aluminium pens off Ted Quinnell. I put them in a safe place, that’s why I’m just showing them now. 1 is a slimline, the other a traditional fountain pen. THANK YOU Ted for your generosity it is very much appreciated.

Any one made rolling pins if so what diameter is best or will it be a case of going down to the local shop that sells them and measuring. I am thinking of doing I believe to be the French style where the ends tape and also the traditional ones used here

These sanding pads seem cheap to me but I have not used them. They have grits up to 2000 would they get into the corners of work any better than traditional sandpaper? Please share your thoughts or experiences with these products. Are they worth buying? deepclough | eBay Thanks Simon

I didn't want to pay for a 6" blank when 5" are a lot cheaper and more common. I modified the pen by making the large tube shorter so that the pen was just under 5". I turned the pen to be more chunky. The only problem was that the spring was too long so I cut it in half Glen

Traditional Snap-Cap RB in Beech Haven't made a pen in while. I need my left knee replaced and my right ankle fused. Been getting injections for almost 2 yrs but no help. Heart doc is holding back any surgery. Barely getting around now.

Was gifted this piece of olive over two years ago by Neil Lawton. So as the weather was so murky with cloudy skies and rain forecast I postponed my new found hobby of casting and dressed a Traditional kit with Neil's olivewood instead. I 'm not sure I like this kit with having to put the cap on one side to use it.Is there a traditional kit that the cap be screwed on the pen whilst in use (if you get what I mean) Glen:winking:
