i'm still breathing, and not ignoring you all........... :whistling:

Just life is catching up with me....

Went to Aberdeen to do a deal ona new rifle I've been watching for while............ (and bought it........ of course)
The took ma boys out to lunch, then went to scope and zero the new gun...........

Ended up shooting the biggest fallow for 30 years on our ground....
So had to stay and butcher it..........

Then got home at 8 last night..... forgot my mate was going on holiday, so had to do a 50 mile round trip to pick my quad up off him........ or it would be lef t in his workshop..

Today, well........ Had the quad to pressure wash....... :nonono: and mend.... then basically tidied up the yard. put the landrover back to 'wife spec' for the summer....

well........ to cut a long story short.......... No turning...........

I did look longingly at the lathe a couple of times.......... but ... well........... failed...

Congratulation on your new rifle and deer, what rifle did you get?

I wanted a 6.5 x 55mm se , and have been waiting on a Sako 85 Hunter.. coming up... and by luck, it was only 80-90 miles away, so went to have a look and quite liked it..

It wasn't mint, but good enough to use..

Thats my second 85 now... I cant look past them.

I have popped an old scope on top, until i find some decent glass for her..

first results are positive.
