    Chess Themed Shakespeare

Well it's been a while since I've been in the garage, what with the leaking roof that was only recently resolved by the landlady and other things getting in the way. I think said landlady felt a bit bad at how long it's take to repair the roof and allow me to get back in there, it was dripping...

There are a few things i ought to make you aware of though; 1. I do not...

    Recent Project...

I recently completed a project that has just come around full circle. I made a set of five pens as a "fund-raiser" of sorts, but also to honor a young man who lost his life in service of his nation and - perhaps moreover - to honor his parents who are also my neighbors. Follow the link to...

    The Forum is mended!!

It's been a tough and irritating few months, as everyone here will attest to. Since taking over the reigns from Jim last September, and migrating everything to a new server, the forum has been plagued by niggling little problems, ranging from not being able to send a PM on occasions, to being...

    Hello from Morse

I have recently started turning. I was bought an Axminster lathe by my children, looking to keep me occupied in my retirement. I'm still learning how to use the tools but thought I'd like to give pen turning a try. I've been looking around the old Internet and asking at my local turning clubs...

    More hospital

I go to the eye hospital on the 17th for more laser surgery on my eyes as my wee bit of sight is diminishing as my retinas have gone cloudy & they are trying to stop it getting worse. It won't improve things but hopefully it will slow it down. No guarantees of course but I'll take it as it comes.
