    Carbide Chisel Sharpening

In some quarters it is deemed that you are not a "Real or Proper" turner if you use the carbide set of chisels, whilst others would argue they are indeed a worthy choice and can give results that any turner would be proud of. I use them for 3 reasons. 1. They are easier to use 2. The learning...

    Kitless pens

A recent post by BradG where he shows us a beautiful kit-less aluminium pen got me thinking about kit-less pens and how they are made. Phil then mentioned that we don't see many kit-less pens on this forum. Does anyone have any good links to show how kit-less are made. Any tips or tricks? Simon

    Heeeeeelp!

I've had better days. The front bearing on my lathe is completely buggered. Managed to source a new one from Myford - managed to dis-assemble the head to get at it, but I just CANNOT get the old bearing off the spindle. Are any of you engineers able to give me some tips?
