Again not very arty or difficult like many I have seen but the Pyrography machine did get used and took some time to do all of the dots, the Japanese writing was a quick job and took a fraction of the time I was going for a totally black finish but with the burnt dots giving the pot texture...

Not sure what the wood is but it has a quite open grain with some spalting. Red dye added to the stabilising solution, Melamine finish.

Todays effort one of Dan's Alphas a Rollerball with Gunmetal & Chrome kit dressed in another Mervyn Cadman blank, this time a black to red. Again the blank was very nice to turn, kit went together well, altogether I think a good quality kit :thinks:

These are all Falcon pens from PSI, in antique brass. The blanks are, from top to bottom: Ruby Red Silk, Pink Passion Camo, Lime Zinger, Blue & White Swirl, Cosmic Copper, Red & White Swirl, and Hog Wild. I like the Falcon kits, I think they have a simple elegance. These are Christmas presents...
