    Classic Elite Pen Failures

I've turned two of these Classic Elite Fountain pens and on both of them the thread inside the "centre band" has either come out completely or stripped the thread. Does anyone have any idea what I might be doing wrong? Or is it likely to be the quality of the kit? Thanks in advance

Pen of the Week is changing.

It's time for an overhaul. POTW has traditionally been selected by the previous winner, but after lengthy discussion, Vic, Walter and I have decided it would be much fairer and more democratic if everyone has a say in the winner So starting with the next winner, that's exactly what's going to...

    My dad

After I made a comment on one of Scott's threads the other day about my dad having a accident & needing skin grafts & the best wishes that followed, I thought I would let you know what happened & how he's doing, I thought I would start a new thread as I already had bombarded Scott's thread with...

This is the pen that Pierre--- was unable to upload. I'm sorry Pierre - I don't know why your photos wouldn't upload, other than the google.com/album links you sent me along with the photos both went to 404 url not found. I couldn't upload them to your thread either, so I thought the easiest...

    Penturners get no respect

In the recent pricing thread I commented on the subject of people who come up to you at sales venues and say something like "I (or my grandad) could make one of those for half the price you are charging. In many cases they probably could, I know many grandads who are better turners than me. I...
