New kid on the block for Pen Blank Moulds!

After spending weeks of researching & posting photos of my moulds on this forum a few days ago, I have had numerous enquiries & messages of support from various forum members who have made me aware that there is a big gap in the market here in the uk for an independent manufacturer/supplier of...

    Themed pens

Having just started to turn pens I have been busy reading this forum on how to produce a good pen. Thanks. I've spent a long time visiting suggested sites for components. I want to make pens for friends which are topical to their hobbies or life. My son is a production manager working in the...

    Kitless pens

A recent post by BradG where he shows us a beautiful kit-less aluminium pen got me thinking about kit-less pens and how they are made. Phil then mentioned that we don't see many kit-less pens on this forum. Does anyone have any good links to show how kit-less are made. Any tips or tricks? Simon

The end of an era and the start of a new one

I want to say a very big public thank you to Buckeye and Vic Perrin for their help in recent months. When Jim passed the reigns of the Forum to me last year, both Peter and Vic very kindly agreed to continue in his roles as moderators. In Peter's case, despite health issues, he agreed to stay...

    Hello from Morse

I have recently started turning. I was bought an Axminster lathe by my children, looking to keep me occupied in my retirement. I'm still learning how to use the tools but thought I'd like to give pen turning a try. I've been looking around the old Internet and asking at my local turning clubs...

    FORUM failure from here.

At 7.08 pm UK time the forum died while I was answering, it was running slow at entry. Checked all other forums all running fast and clear. Left the site UK penturners when I got a message saying the site was out, came back later on all is well. Peter.

Poll: Which forum skin do you prefer?

I thought it would be interesting to see which skin people use when they visit the forum. Vic's Blue, Red Sky or Pen Skin

A big thank you. Pictures and stuff coming soon

I have just started making my first light-box so I will soon be able to post decent pictures on this forum. I have tried without one but the resulting pictures just don't do the pens justice. Once the box is ready I will be showing off my closed end slims and some which I have made my own centre...
