All lit up and aiming high

From the Hand made Show last Saturday, the bloke showed me how the Filament appearance is achieved in the light bulbs using LED Strips, never been up close enough before. High expectations travelling 400 miles to show from Melbourne. Peter.

    Show us your Workshop!

With me revamping my workshop I realised there doesn't seem to be many pictures of other peoples workshops, so let's use this thread to show us all your workshop! I don't know about anyone else but I'd be very interested to see other people's setups. I'll post photos of mine when it's finished.

    Show Me The Seam

Many of us often cast, stick on, glue on, or somehow attach a label, decal, or some printed matter onto a pen blank. We all post photo's that show some very nice work, but rarely, if ever, do we see the ''other side'', that is the seam / joint where they wrap around and meet. I'd like to see...

    Question on this pens finish

Hi folks, hopefully you will be able to help here, this is my latest pen but the black acrylic at the tip has a sheen to half of it, hard to show in the pictures but the camera flash showed it up best. 1 half is jet black and the other has a crazing to it, is it the "iridescence"...

    Bolt Action Antler

My Daughter and Granddaughter came this weekend and I only managed to get this done and not the Tempest as I thought, so maybe during the week now for the Tempest. I drilled the antler with an offset which ideally could have been more offset, so I kept it chunky to show more of the natural bark...

    Pearl-Ex blanks.

Another colourway of my first batch of Pearl Ex blanks, this one on a Traditional roller ball. I experimented with gold glitter in the black Pearl Ex which can be seen in the blank but it doesn't show up well in the picture of finished pen but it does show up well in real life.

    Competition piece

As title this is for the club competition not sure now that is complete that I like it but the wife does and I am not arguing. Made from Sapele and tulip wood the coloured bit was a failed pot that I had shaped but it was too shallow to show what I wanted so it became the decorated piece on...
